Taperguard – Endotracheal Tube with Tapered Balloon
- The TaperGuard line of endotracheal tubes incorporates a unique, taper-shaped cuff made from polyvinylchloride (PVC) that is designed to substantially reduce the risk of microaspiration
- The cuff has a proximal end diameter that is larger than the average adult trachea, which tapers to a smaller diameter at the distal end
- The taper shaped design cuff reduces microaspiration by an average of 90% compared with Hi-Lo cuffs
